A weekend itinerary for Los Angeles

Friday Night:
This is when you will arrive in LA and check into your hotel. Whether you are staying near LAX or near Downtown I highly recommend getting a rental car or driving into the city if you live close.

After check in go out and have a nice dinner, I highly recommend trying something that you might not necessarily get everyday
Sushi Chitose
Rosalind’s
Soowon Galbi
Sage Vegan Bistro
Cecconi’s

Saturday
You’ll grab some brunch and then hit the beach! For brunch I highly recommend a bottomless mimosa brunch but be prepared to wait as everyone always seems to want brunch around the same time.

Brunch spots:
The Overland
The Den on Sunset
Eat this Cafe

After brunch head to the beach for some sightseeing and shopping. There are two different beaches I would go to either Venice or Santa Monica. Venice is exactly like you’ve seen in the movies with people riding their roller blades around and people walking asking for you to listen to their latest CD single. If Venice isn’t for you, head to Santa Monica pier. There’s a little more beach and carnival aspects but a super fun place to experience at least once! Don’t forget to grab a snack too if you get hungry! An ice cream in Venice or a smoothie bowl in Santa Monica never disappoint. Near the pier and on third street promenade there’s also some great shopping.

After the beach head back to your hotel and get ready for a night out. There are plenty of bars around LA but I highly recommend the Ace hotel rooftop bar or Beetle house if you are looking for something a little more spooky. There are also plenty of bars around the Beetle House if you decide you want to bar hop. Don’t forget to grab a street taco or hot dog afterward for a delicious midnight snack. I’m serious!

If bars aren’t your thing, Formosa LA is a great place to eat dinner and with a lot of history.

Sunday:
Wake up and grab a coffee and pastry from Coffee Dose Cafe or Verve, or Alfred’s. Then head over to Lacma to get that iconic shot under the streetlights. After head instead and enjoy some great art and exhibits.

After the museum grab a quick bite at Rosemarys grill or Bennys Tacos and Rotisserie chicken, they have the best salsa. By mid afternoon it will be time to head out and head home but don’t forget to grab an LA hat on your way out.
